Due to restrictions with my server administration i had to install acts_as_solr to implement a full text search, for my site Slangasaurus a multi-lingual user submitted thesaurus and dictionary (no registration required) even though it may be awhile till my admins support even that. If you have no such restrictions...i strongly recommend thinking_sphinx, you can get a good tutorial for its installation... [read more]

So i moved to Austin, Tx to start my job at National Instruments...so far everything has been awesome.
